Cyprus – Qualification Scheme for small scale RES installers (Αναγνώριση Προσόντων Εγκαταστατών μικρής κλίμακας Συστημάτων Ανανεώσιμων Πηγών Ενέργειας)


The competent authority is the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism. The competent authority approves the training and examination bodies for small scale RES installers as well as for the establishment and maintenance of the relevant registry of installers. The scheme operates on a voluntary basis and is addressed explicitly to individuals. The installers are obliged to undertake both theoretical and practical training. The training course will end with an examination leading to the qualification. The installer submits all relevant documents to the competent authority in order to register in the registry of the qualified installers.

Details

The mutual recognition applies, likewise the scheme, only for individuals.

The applicant for mutual recognition submit to the competent authority the required documentation set by the regulations ΚΔΠ374/2015-which includes

Filled application

Receipt for paying registration fee

Confirmation of VAT registration for oneself/ or ones employer

Copy of his ID card or Passport

Curriculum of the training program he concluded

Certificate of succeeding in the examinations by approved body of his country

The competent authority must verify that the certification is issued by the appointed competent authority of other MS to proceed with the registration

Supplementary documentation:

Certification of RES Installer by the competent authority of his country translated in one of the republics official languages

The competent authority may require the following:

Certification of Attending certain training modules as requested

Verification of succeeding in the theoretical and practical part of the examination as requested

Workplace learning under the guidance of a registered Installer of RES for a period between 6 to 12 months
