Greece – Current scheme is under consultation

Officially there is not an established certification scheme in Greece. Such schemes are going to be introduced in the future. This issue is currently being dealt with by a Committee that was set up by the Ministry of Environment & Energy (MEE). A relevant 'feasibility study' is expected to launch to investigate the possibilities of a certification scheme.

Certification Bodies

The 'official' competent body of the Greek State is EOPPEP: eoppep.gr/index.php/en

For schemes not functioning under the auspices of EOPPEP, certification of qualifications can provide the members of HellasCert: hellascert.gr/en/site/index.html

Certification Providers

EOPPEP: eoppep.gr/index.php/en

Hellenic Accreditation System (ESYD), for accreditation of certification providers: esyd.gr/portal/p/esyd/en/index.jsp

Firstly the Occupational Profiles of the relevant professions / specialties (e.g. plumbers, electricians, installers of burners, refrigeration technicians, ...) need to be revised / updated (to include the tasks specifically oriented to the installation of RES systems). This has to be done according to the provisions of the Common Ministerial Decree 110998/2006.

According to the methodology adopted by Greece (i.e. by the Greek competent body, the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance - EOPPEP) the Occupational (Job) Profiles are analysed in Tasks & Functions of the professions, which are further 'translated' to Learning Outcomes (LOs).

All info regarding the legislation concerning the vocational training (formal - initial, non-formal, etc.) can be found in EOPPEP's website: eoppep.gr/index.php/en
