Portugal – Technician / Installer of Bioenergy Systems/ Solar Photovoltaic/ Solar Thermal Systems/ Wind Turbine Systems/ Renewable Thermal Energy Systems


For all schemes, and depending on the specificity of each technology and installer competences, the goal is:
  • organize and execute the installation,
  • maintenance and repair a system;
  • knowledge of specific legislation and standards;
  • safety regulations;
  • rules for good practice.
And also provide technical assistance to clients, advising on the different options and clarifying doubts about the systems operation and prepare reports and complete technical documentation on the activity performed.

other Training Duration details The training takes 1225 hours. The Qualifications includes socio-cultural, technological and scientific training. Concerning the practical component, and as the apprenticeship training is carried out alternately, part of the Short Duration Training Unities that integrate the technological training can be developed in a working environment (the training guidelines can be found at www.iefp.pt).

Mutual recognition additional information Lei n.º 26/2017 - Recognition of: qualifications; partial access to a regulated profession; work experience in another Member State. The Recognition of professional qualifications allows the installers to practice in the national territory the profession for which he is qualified in the Member State of origin, under the same conditions as the professionals who have acquired the qualifications in that territory, including partial access, even if, if they want to be established in the national territory, without have been previously established in the Member State of origin.
